ICF activities continue to accelerate across the continent
May 10, 2012
ICF’s activities continue to resonate powerfully across the continent. As of 30th March 2012, the Board of Trustees approved projects in two new countries, Nigeria and Tunisia. ICF’s project portfolio consists of 49 projects including four pan-regional projects and five special initiatives. ICF activity currently covers 31 countries across the continent. In addition, in 2012 this successful cooperation will continue as demand for ICF services is accelerating. Businesses of all sizes are reporting immediate and tangible improvements to the ease of doing business in their respective countries following ICF intervention.
ICF focuses its activity on eight priority areas and significant success has already been achieved in a number of themes particularly taxation, customs, commercial justice, business registration and licensing, and land registration.
As a result of ICF project activity, several of our partner governments have improved their scores in the World Bank’s annual “Ease of Doing Business” reports this year.
