ICF continues to boost project and financial management capacity in its projects
May 10, 2013
The Investment Climate Facility for Africa held its fourth knowledge sharing workshop on project management and accounting in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The workshop, which was held from 15th to 17th of April this year, brought together participants from eight African countries to learn best practices in project management, financial controls, reporting, and audit recommendations tracking.
The 24 participants were able to share experiences from their respective projects, to learn from each other and to network.
Participants appreciated the opportunity to learn from best practices from other African countries in project management, financial control and reporting. They agreed that the training material and their contents will enable them to improve the quality of their financial reports and related controls.
The workshop targeted Francophone countries where ICF projects are currently being implemented which are Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mauritius, Mali, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Cape Verde and Tunisia and one regional block: OHADA
ICF promotes knowledge sharing as a way of ensuring practical and proven experiences from other African countries are used to better projects’ implementation. In March 2013 ICF held a similar project management and accounting workshop in South Africa for Anglophone countries.
